Monetary Donations

We can use monetary donations to buy the specific products we need exactly when we need them. We can also use bulk buying power to put your financial donations to greater use. To use a credit or debit card, click the Donate button below. If you wish to support a specific pantry service or make a gift in honor of another, please include that information in the PayPal comment field. You can also mail a check.

Many companies will match your donation with a corporate donation. Ask your employer if they have a corporate matching program.

Join us for the first ever Second Chance Dance benefiting the Glen-Ed Pantry. This is an event you do not want to miss with the band Lone Ranger playing live, dance contests, mission moments, dinner and open bar. Tickets are $100 each and will sell out fast.

Food and Toiletry Donations

We accept any non-expired food items. We also accept fresh produce and meats.

You can drop off Food, Toiletries, Hygiene Items, and Diapers in the donation bin outside the pantry anytime. Larger loads should be brought to the side door on the left of the building, or call us to arrange a time. Please bring any perishables inside, and do not leave food on the ground.

Most Needed Items

Our most needed items are:
  • instant potatoes, boxed potatoes

  • pasta sauce

  • pasta

  • cereal

  • canned fruit

  • ketchup, mustard, salad dressing

  • oatmeal, instant oatmeal

Clothing and Housewares Donations

We accept:

  • Clothing for all ages and sizes in very good condition

  • Household items such as dishes, bedding, small appliances, and toys in very good condition

We do not accept:

  • Furniture, office equipment

  • TVs, computers, monitors, large electronics

  • Mattresses

  • Car seats

  • Medical equipment, such as walkers

Where to Drop Off Items
You can drop off Clothing, Housewares, Toys at the house across the wooded lot from us, on the corner of 5th Ave and Bryant Ave. There is a drop chute on the Bryant Ave. side of the house that you can use anytime. If you have large amounts to donate that will not fit in the donation box, please call us to arrange a drop off time. 618-656-7506.

Who Receives These Donations
Food and toiletry donations are made available every day to our client families free of charge.

Clothing and houseware donations go to our thrift shop on the second floor of the pantry named Second Chance. Second Chance is open to the public as well as to our client families. Client families receive a gift card to shop there for free, and anyone can shop at our affordable prices. All proceeds help support programs at the pantry.
